Postpartum Planning Sessions

A person writing a Postpartum Plan in a lined notebook with a pen, with a decorative vase of dried flowers and a mug of coffee or tea in the background. Planning for food, a village, support, feeding, sleep, newborn care, rest, nourishment

Birth is just the beginning, while postpartum is the soft, raw longer season that follows. A calm, supported postpartum begins with thoughtful preparation.

This session focuses on the practical foundations that matter most after birth. We’ll explore:

  • How you’ll be nourished when time and energy are limited (eg. creating a Meal Train, stocking the freezer in late pregnancy etc.)

  • How to intentionally build a village around you

  • How to plan for rest, connection, and oxytocin-boosting care in the early weeks

  • Boundaries around visitors and expectations, so your needs are protected during this tender time.

  • Matrescence: the physical, emotional, spiritual, and identity transition into motherhood. Understanding this normal (and often unexpected) shift can help you meet yourself with greater gentleness and self-compassion.

  • Your intentions around feeding and how you can give yourself a good chance of achieving your goal

  • What life with a newborn realistically looks like and ways you can support yourself through these demands

  • Suggestions for curated podcast and book recommendations to continue preparing beyond our session.

The aim isn’t to prepare for everything, but to create a simple, personalised plan so you move into postpartum feeling supported and resourced.
